![]() "With this overlay, you will be able to play smoothly and without any hindrance to any part and version of Jagged Alliance, on the latest Windows 10. If anyone has a problem with low framerates on any Windows, then should apply our overlay, which is solving this. building because my mercs dont have either enough leadership or wisdom. What am i missing? does it have to do with the freezes or that i used imageCFG? how can i make father Walker talk to me about the creatures and how do i train militia in town? It wont even let me staff the A.C.A. It tells me i dont have enough resourses and i have more than one million dollars (twicked that on purpose). Does that mean they wont appear any more? And second i cant train classic militia, i dont want mobile one because it facilitates the game. I have finally conquered Drassen but when i give the wine toįather Walker he wont take it (says something like: i have no need for possessions) although i chose the crepitus option, which i like very much. I would like to add that i faced the same problem as a win10 user and seems that imageCFG have somehow reduced the freezes by a lot but not completely. First of all congratulations for the great work on this game. Lastly, don't forget to change the paths to your actual JA2 1.13 install. It will automatically hook to ja2.exe as long as it's open while you launch it. To use that file you have to import it into DXWnd first. I find it works better when I want to play in windowed mode to still set the game to run in full screen and make it windowed through DXWnd instead. Set the game to run at full screen in ja2.ini or adjust however you like. Using DXWnd prevents the game from locking up when you tab out for too long, increases performance, removes the need for switching the entire desktop to 16 bit mode on Windows 7 and under, and seems to desync the audio and video for the Sirtech logo video and causes it to lag for some reason (but all other movies played are fine). You might have to tweak these settings depending on your system. What helped me a ton was running this on DXWnd. If you want to use mods that require release 7609 you should use Sevenfm's experimental exe. If you want to try the "real" latest version you should look here. That's only the latest stable which is very old. With "latest version + patch" you probably mean the official release 7609. The other steps however are required as they set the game to run in 16 bit color depth and compatibility mode. Actually I'd advise not to use them because they cause a garbled air view on the map screen. In my opinion you don't really need the dll files from the archive. Please read the Readme file that is contained within. The JA2 1.13 installation has a docs folder with information on Windows 8/10 compatibility fixes. (if im being honest, every gamer should play it) Just play it with 1.13 mod.Re: Running JA2 1.13 on Windows 10 They never managed to replicate it, just like Heroes3, this game is a must-play classic for every Turn-based Strategy fan. Frankly, every "bestselling" turn-based game ive played in recent years just fails to impress me thanks to this one game. Mechanics are simple to understand yet offers wide variety of tactical options, skill up system where you improve skills that you use and is very satisfying somehow, with suprisingly competent AI that can be very clever with flanking (you constantly have to check your flanks because guess what, if their friends are dying on one spot, they're looking to avoid that area), with great mod support that is still active made it last way beyond its lifetime. Even though graphics are old, i come back to it because there simply is no other game that had such polished tactical turn-based gameplay. There are few games in my life that i've been installing and playing year after year. ![]()
